A compounding pharmacy prepares medication to a physician’s specification. These preparations are made in FDA-regulated facilities, though they are not themselves reviewed by the FDA for safety or efficacy. Your physician will discuss whether a compounded option is appropriate for you.
Is hormone therapy right for me?
